Pakka Commercial, starring Gopichand and Raashi Khanna released today in theatres. Billed to be an entertaining mass-action-drama, the film has multiple interesting elements in it. Directed by Maruthi, the film unit is coming up with reduced ticket prices. Check out the review of the film here.
Satyanarayana Murthy (Satyaraj) quits the profession of a Judge as he announced a wrong verdict. He is away from the business of law. However, one day, he comes to know that his son Vivek (Gopichand) takes up a show to argue in the court and support a criminal politician (Rao Ramesh). Knowing the same, Satyanarayana Murthy makes a comeback to counter his son. How did the entire drama unfold forms the film's story.
Performances-wise, everyone have given their best for the film. Gopichand is at his usual best. He proved as a best commercial hero in Telugu. The actor has shown a great deal of enthu in the film. His fights, comic timing and performance in the emotional scenes have come out well.
Raashi Khanna is good in her role. She has amazing looks and her performance is highly impressive. Ajay Ghost played a key role in the film and it came out well.
Rao Ramesh's character is very much entertaining. He has given his best in the negative role and also put out his comic timing. Satyaraj made his presence felt in the role he played. The rest of the cast made their presence felt.
The film has good camera work and impressive technicalities. The makers worked hard in coming up with a great quality.
The music by Jakes Bejoy has come out well. The music and background score is highly impressive. The production values are grand.
The director has picked comedy as the major element in the film. With it, he weaved a story around it. There is enough drama in the movie. The film tries to be a clever and entertaining court-room drama but it has passable comedy in it. The first half of the film is good but the second half falls flat. The film has a routine story but then the director Maruthi tried his best to come up with an impressive execution laced with comedy elements. The film looks silly at times and some tracks are illogical and unconvincing. The dialogues are good. The climax twist is predictable.
Lack of freshness
Final Verdict: Pakka Commercial is not very engaging
