Nikhil teamed up with director Sudheer Varma once again for an exciting film titled Appudo Ippudo Eppudo. The film features the debut of Kannada girl Rukmini Vasanth. The film's review is here. Check it out.

Story:

Rishi (Nikhil Siddharth), an aspiring racer who falls for Tara (Rukmini Vasanth) but leaves for London due to a miscommunication. There, he meets Tulsi (Divyansha Kaushik), who adds complexity to his life. Rishi?s path crosses with local don Badri Narayana (John Vijay) and his right-hand goon Munna (Ajay) over a mysterious device that becomes central to the unfolding events. What is the device? How does Rishi navigate these challenges? Who does he love? Forms the film's story.

Performances:

Nikhil brings his usual charm and energy to the role, with some impressive dance sequences that stand out. Rukmini makes a decent debut, displaying good chemistry with Nikhil and a likable on-screen presence. Divyansha Kaushik adds an intriguing layer with a touch of gray to her character, showcasing her acting range. Viva Harsha, Satya, and Sudarshan provide some light-hearted moments that break up the main story. The other actors also performed to the best of their abilities.

Technical Aspects:

The technical department's best features are its good production quality, stylish location sets, catchy background score by Sunny MR, and appealing cinematography by Richard Prasad. Karthik's soundtrack is decent, and Sunny MR?s background score adds flair in certain parts. Richard Prasad?s work stands out, enhancing the film?s aesthetic appeal. Naveen Nooli's efforts are evident, though the film?s content doesn?t give him much to work with.

Review:

The narrative feels slow and unengaging, especially in the first half. Despite a short runtime, the movie?s pacing drags, making it difficult to maintain interest. Unlike previous collaborations between Nikhil and Sudheer Varma, this film lacks the high-stakes, thrilling moments that one would expect. The first half, in particular, fails to build sufficient excitement leading up to the interval. The story is similar to Swamy Ra Ra, centering on a chase for a valuable object. The antagonist starts off strong but soon veers into comedic territory, losing his impact. While slightly more engaging, the second half remains weak except for the climax. The logical flow in some scenes falters, diminishing the overall coherence. Appudo Ippudo Eppudo ends up as a routine action thriller with some bright spots like the lead performances and humor. Fans of Nikhil might appreciate his performance, but for those looking for an engaging and fresh thriller, this movie may feel below average.
