The highly anticipated sci-fi thriller Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, is gearing up for its grand theatrical premiere. The excitement surrounding the film continues to grow, fueled by the recent pre-release event held in Mumbai on June 19, 2024.

A Galaxy of Stars at the Event

The pre-release event was graced by some of the most iconic figures in Indian cinema. Legendary actors Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan attended, alongside Prabhas and the soon-to-be-mother Deepika Padukone. During the event, Prabhas shared his experiences of working with these towering figures in the film industry.

Prabhas on Collaborating with Legends

When event host Rana Daggubati asked Prabhas about working with such an illustrious cast, Prabhas expressed his gratitude and awe. “First of all, I would like to thank Dutt Garu and Nagi Garu for giving me the opportunity to work with the greatest legends. It's bigger than a dream," Prabhas said. He recounted his first meeting with Amitabh Bachchan, where he was awestruck. "When I met Amitabh sir and touched his feet, he told me not to do it, and if I did, he would do the same."

 
Prabhas reminisced about growing up admiring Bachchan. "We grew up watching you; my uncles had your hairstyle. He's the first actor in the country who reached every part of the country – South, North. We all know in Telugu and Tamil, we saw that Amitabh Bachchan's hairstyle. Any tall person, they called Amitabh Bachchan."

Fond Memories and Admiration

Prabhas also shared a personal anecdote about Kamal Haasan. He recalled asking his mother to buy him the same costume Haasan wore in Sagar. “Those who had a tummy would put on clothes and distract everyone from seeing it,” he humorously added.

Expressing his admiration for Deepika Padukone, Prabhas said, “I have always wanted to work with Deepika. It's a great thing for actors and actresses to reach an international level with such a gorgeous superstar. It was a wonderful experience for me to work with Deepika Padukone.”
