Actor Vishal's recent film Madha Gadha Raja went on to become a big hit in Tamil. The success of this movie was surprising because it had been lying under cans for more than 12 years. When it was released, no one thought it would be a hit but the lack of big Pongal releases in Tamil helped the film in a big way.

After achieving big success in Tamil, the makers are now dubbing the film in Telugu. The dubbed version will hit the screens on January 31. Ahead of its release, the theatrical trailer was unveiled today. Going by the trailer, the film looked like an outdated comedy entertainer that would have worked 12 years ago and not now.

A hero, a villain, two heroines, comedian friends, a skin show of heroines, romantic songs, over-the-top dialogues and physics-defying stunts. The trailer has all the elements that you expect in a commercial film from a decade ago. After watching the trailer, one would wonder how it became a hit in Tamil.

It looks like the makers want to bank on the current craze of the film and earn collections in Telugu. However, it has to be seen how Madha Gaja Raja fares in Telugu states. Directed by Sundar C, this movie features Anjali and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as female leads.
