Vijay Deverakonda acclaimed a huge stardom overnight with his beast, raw, rugged & bold performance in Arjun Reddy movie. Now, his latest film Ye Mantram Vesave is hitting the screens today. Here comes the question of Ye Mantram Vesave will continue the success of Vijay or not? This question will be answered in the Ye Mantram Vesave review below.
Nikki (Vijay Deverakonda) is a video game freak and also a big-time social media addict. All the time, he lives in his small room and loves to play the video games and also keeps flirting with girls on social media. During the course of time, he happens to meet Rags (Shivani Singh) on the internet and tries to flirt with her.
Initially, Rags avoids Nikki. Later, she gives a real-time game to Nikki and makes a point that “if he wins that game then she would accept his friendship deal”. The actual story begins after he accepts the challenge.
What is that challenge? Will he win that challenge? These are the questions will unfolds on silver screen.
Actors & Performances:
Vijay Deverakonda: The audience will be definitely disappointed with his performance. Obviously, everyone goes with huge expectations on his acting and he fails to deliver this time. Actually, storyline and screenplay don’t give him much to show his skills.
Shivani Singh: She is neither attractive nor active. She gave her best to good look and to act. Unfortunately, she fails to grab the eyeballs of the audience.
Rest of the cast will not get your attention.
Writer-Director Shridhar Marri took a burning subject called- Internet & its side effects. It is a general subject and he tried to add commercial angle by lacing it with love story, search game & women trafficking etc.
In this lacing process, he somewhere got confused and it eventually led to the script of several loopholes. With his script, he tried to showcase the evil impact of gaming, internet & social media on society. For this, he needed a tight screenplay and this film lacked the much-needed screenplay.
A twist in the climax also falls short to overcome the flaws in the screenplay & direction. Even lead actors also failed to create an impression.
+ Story Line
- Everything except Story Line
It would be a good film if it was well written & directed.
