The National Award winning team Dil Raju & Satish Vegesna has once again come up with a film called Srinivasa Kalyanam after the blockbuster Shatamanam Bhavathi. This film grabbed the attention of the audience as top performing stars came on board for this film and producer Dil Raju also expressed his confidence on the output of the film.

Story:

Srinivas (Nithiin) is a person who has immense belief in traditions, family values and he also has a great respect towards the elders. As time goes on, he and Sridevi (Raashi Khanna) like each other and falls in love.

After that, Srinivas approaches Sridevi’s father GK (Prakash Raj) to accept their love and ask for his permission to get married. At this juncture, GK who always gives priority to materialistic things rather than family relations & customs puts a condition before Srinivas to give his green signal to the marriage of Srinivas & Sridevi.

What is the condition? Will Srinivas agreed for the condition? Will Srinivas fulfilled the condition of GK? These will have answers in the film.

Actors & Performances:

Nithiin: Nithiin looks calm, cool and sober in the role of Srinivas. His energy took a backseat for this role and it is one among the different roles in his entire career that he played on screen.

Raashi Khanna: She looks good in the film and unfortunately she was seen in a character where she is in an awe of Srinivas character in the movie.

Prakash Raj played a shrewd businessman role in the movie and as a seasoned actor, he did justice to the role.

Remaining actors like Jayasudha, Naresh & Rajendra Prasad gave their best to the roles.

Analysis:

The conflict point of believing & non-believing the family values, traditions & relations is the basic plot of this story. Writer-director Satish took a good point for the film and he made some flaws while preparing a script around this point.

Well, he tried his best to convey the importance of marriage, family values & tradition through hero’s actor and unfortunately this plan got misfired. Why because, those particular scenes turned out preachy ones rather than the normal scenes.

Conceiving of agreement scene between Nithiin & Prakash Raj fails to score the impact and some of the scenes got flattened due to the preachy style of a screenplay. Director failed in the execution part as he took a strong storyline for the movie.

Plus Points:

+ Story Line
+ Big Casting

Minus Points:

- Love Track
- Screenplay

Technical Aspects:

Satish Vegeshna’s dialogues are good and unfortunately, the impact of dialogues got diluted due to the weak scenes. Srinivasa Kalyanam title song is good and the rest of the album is average. Productions values from SVC productions is decent.

Final Verdict:

This Srinivasa Kalyanam has some flaws.
