Story

Set amidst the backdrop of Bengaluru, the tale begins with Rachana (Samantha) a committed news reporter who believes in making a difference. Her attention is caught by the RK Puram flyover where the public removes the dividers just to take a U-turn and avoid the rules. This annoys Rachana and meanwhile her life experiences few turns because of some inexplicable situations happening. In comes inspector Nayak (Aadhi) who joins hands with Rachana and starts investigating the cause for all this mysterious happenings. What are those incidents? Why is Rachana’s life getting affected? All this forms the rest.

Artists & Performances:

The film belongs totally to Samantha and she hooked the audience right from the first frame. She has shown sufficient versatility in her performance and is evolving as a fabulous performer. Second one to be appreciated is Aadhi Pinisetty. With his piercing eyes and convincing body language, he has shown the right balance and impact as an artiste.

Rahul Ravindran was neat, Bhumika looks elegant and did what was expected from her. The rest of the artistes didn’t have much to offer but they were useful as fillers.

Analysis:

The film takes off on a sluggish note but the interval bang gave a very good jolt. The second half is all about connecting the dots and it takes off on a slow note but picks up momentum. However, the climax should have offered more clarity because you tend to get confused as to what exactly is for real and what is not.

At the end of the day, the audience needs to be convinced and not confused. This would always prove to be a setback for the film. Yet, what needs to be appreciated is, though it is a remake of the Kannada hit, the director has not gambled much and he stuck to the original plot just making few tweaks to suit the Telugu nativity.

Overall, the film is a different attempt which raises curiosity and it has a potential to appeal to the thinking and urban audience while B, C Centers might find it hard to connect.

Technical Values:

The biggest asset for the film is the background score and it gave the right punch to the audience moods. Cinematography is top notch and each frame was captured very well. The production values were good and that helped create a good output. The story is intriguing and the screenplay was also tight at most of the places. Editing was required during the first half. The art department was colorful and set the right mood with the settings and the costume department was trendy and appealing.

Plus Points:

+Samantha
+Aadi Pinisetty
+Thrilling Elements

Minus Point:

- Duration

Verdict: Engaging!
