Yuva Samrat Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is keen to hit the box office with Shailaja Reddy Alludu as his previous film didn’t find the audience in theatres. But this time, Naga Chaitanya is pinning his hopes on director Maruthi to score a super hit at the box office. Well, Naga Chaitanya’s collaboration with Maruthi turned successful or not is discussed below in the Shailaja Reddy Alludu review.
Story:
Chay (Naga Chaitanya) is a cool guy who lives his life without complications. However, he happens to be surrounded by his father, girlfriend & girlfriend’s mother who happens to be full of egoistic nature and their egos make his life to go for a toss.
How did he handle them and their egos is the story of Shailaja Reddy Alludu.
Actors & Performances:
Naga Chaitanya: His look & acting are the highlights of the film. He did his best to the requirements of the role.
Anu Emmanuel: She looked glamorous in the film. Anu’s glamour dominates her performance in the film.
Ramya Krishnan: She is one among the attractive factors in the film. Her screen presence changed the dynamics of the scenes.
Vennela Kishore: He once again excelled as the saviour of the film with his comedy timing. His role as Chari is very much entertaining.
Pruthvi, Naresh & Murli Sharma did their parts convincingly.
Analysis:
Director Maruthi is known for his special concepts like absent-minded, obsessive-compulsive disorder and those concepts worked out well for him at the box office. Now, he selected ego as the main theme and laced a story around it.
However, he failed to create the fun around the ego concept. He didn’t utilize artists to the fullest and even Ramya Krishnan’s role is also not up to the mark. Maruthi’s writing in this film is weak as compared to his previous works.
Title Shailaja Reddy Alludu is also turned out as one of the major hiccups as the title is kind of misleading the audience to understood it as a rivalry between Shailaja & her son-in-law. Well, the original story is very much different from the expectations of the audience.
Fun elements didn’t work out well in the movie.
Technical Aspects:
Camera work from Niar Shafi is top notch. Music from Gopi Sunder is good. Well, Maruthi failed to recreate his magic of creating the fun around the story in this film. His dialogues also lacked the punch.
Plus Points:
+ Ramya Krishna
+ Naga Chaitanya
Minus Points:
- Story
- Predictability
- Less Fun
Final Verdict:
Shailaja Reddy Alludu- Fun Dose Missing.
