Controversial director Ram Gopal Varma left no stone unturned in creating a massive hype around his movie 'Lakshmi's NTR'. Agasthya Manju also co-directed this movie with RGV. After creating a huge controversy with the theatrical trailers, RGV has grabbed the attention. Rakesh Reddy and Deepthi Balagiri produced this movie. Kalyani Malik scored music for this film. With new actors, P Vijay Kumar, Yagna Shetty, Sritej, Aningi Rajasekhar, etc., the movie has finally dodged all the obstacles and got released today. Here is the review of the film.

Story:
The story of 'Lakshmi's NTR' is not at all something new. Most of the people have already heard about it. The starts with NTR (Vijay Kumar) after facing a huge defeat is seen sitting hopelessly in 1989. Lakshmi Parvathi (Yagna Shetty) enters his life to write his autobiography. NTR accepts it, but some bad rumors that something is going on between them comes out. During the film event of 'Major Chandrakanth,' NTR gives a massive shock to everyone by announcing that he will marry Lakshmi Parvathi. Meanwhile, Nara Chandrababu Naidu and a media person, Babu Rao starts spreading wrong rumors about Lakshmi Parvathi and tried to show her in the bad light. However, NTR ties the knot with Lakshmi Parvathi and campaigns for elections. In 1994, NTR got the power back. What happened then? How CBN conspired against him? What happened to NTR? Forms the crux of the story.

Technical Aspects:
Production values by Rakesh Reddy and Deepthi Balagiri are decent. The producers have invested proper amounts for this film. Kalyani Malik has given some catchy tunes which can be considered as one of the major highlights. Rammy's cinematography is excellent, and he has given some colorful visuals. Editing by Kamal R is neat.

Performances:
The entire movie revolved around the performance of P Vijay Kumar who essayed the role of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao in the film. He is the show stealer as he has justified the part perfectly well. Not only his looks but also his dialogue delivery and even the body language resembled NTR. Yagna Shetty is excellent and went under the skin of the character. Though her facial expressions are beautiful, the dubbing will somewhat irk the audience. Sritej is too good for his role. He has matched Nara Chandra Babu Naidu in terms of looks and also in body language. Aningi Rajasekhar is too good for his character. The rest of the cast also made their presence felt.

Review:
RGV handles the scripts of biopics well, and he has proved that again with this film. He and Agasthya Manju had handled and executed the story well. The movie revolved around only the vital elements, and there are no unnecessary scenes which are a good thing. RGV hasn't even deviated from the story that he wanted to tell. The first half of the movie is extremely slow. The entire first half revolves around the story of NTR and Lakshmi Parvathi and their never-ending conversations.

The second half is much better, but there will be a lot of drama that might irritate the audience. The second is all about how NTR's family members behaved with NTR and Lakshmi Parvathi and also how Chandra Babu has backstabbed NTR. The Viceroy hotel episodes are fascinating. The climax is not that great as the sentiment is very high. Overall, 'Lakshmi's NTR' is a must-watch film for NTR fans.

Plus Points:
+ Performances
+ Story
+ BGM
+ Narration

Minus Points:
- Some Scenes appear to be dragged and boring.

Final Verdict: A not-to-be-missed political drama based on NTR's life.

- Review By Ram.
