In order to fulfill his father's dream, Michael accepts to coach the women football team. What challenges did he face in the process? Why did Michael have to quit football in his life? Did he fulfill his father's wish? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:

Vijay is definitely the show stealer for this movie. We can say that he has carried the entire movie on his shoulders and his powerful performance added more strength for the film. The way he blended with the character and portrayed it is really wonderful. Nayanthara's brilliant performance became one of the major plus points of this film. Her chemistry with Vijay is too good and their scenes will definitely impress the audience. Vivek did an excellent job of essaying the role. Kathir's energetic performance is worth appreciating. Jackie Shroff's powerful appearance is like the backbone of the film. Varsha Bollamma grabs the attention with her appearance. Devadarshini and Yogi Babu's comedy timing is good. The rest of the actors also made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

Director Atlee has amazingly narrated the storyline. He has showcased Vijay's role in an impactful way. He has succeeded in making the movie as crisp as possible and also his flawless narration became the biggest plus point for this film. Production values by AGS Entertainment banner are outstanding. We can say that the high-quality production values are the biggest plus point of this film. Music by AR Rahman worked out really well for the film. As his catchy songs and captivating tunes definitely elevated each and every scene and emotions in the movie exceptionally well. Cinematography by GK Vishnu is superb. He has produced the most beautiful visuals for this film. Editing by Ruben is clean and neat.

Review:

'Whistle' is technically a high-quality film. The outstanding performances by the cast are like the icing on the cake. Vijay and Atlee combination itself is the best part of the film. The movie starts off on an interesting note. In the first half, the story will be somewhat dull and slow. Though the first half is slightly slow, the pace of narration gets increased in the second half. The interval block is outstanding. The pace of narration will get increased in the second half as so many twists get unfolded. Despite being a commercial film, the director also blended some emotional scenes in the movie, which made the film even more relatable. Performances, narration, and action sequences are the biggest plus point of this film, whereas the slow scenes will be the minus points. Overall, 'Whistle' is a worth watching movie and won't disappoint the audience.

Plus Points:

Performances
Mass elements
BGM
Story

Minus Points:

Tamil flavor scenes
Lengthy second half

Final Verdict:
Whistle is a solid Mass Patakha for this Diwali season
