Bollywood star hero Salman Khan came up with the third installment of his super hit Dabangg franchise, called Dabangg 3. Directed by Prabhu Deva, this film features Sonakshi Sinha, Sayee Manjrekar and Sudeep in the other key roles. Dabangg 3 has hit the screens worldwide today in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Let's see how it is:

Story

The film starts off with a young girl who escapes from a child trafficking den and seeks shelter in a police station. The cop over there, Makhanhand (Arbaaz Khan) decides to help the girl and burst the racket. But he lands in a fix under those goons. Then comes Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan) to the rescue. Chulbul realizes that all this is being done by Bali (Sudeep). Both Bali and Chulbul share a flashback. What happened in the past? How did Chulbul deal with Bali? To know this, you should watch the film.

Performances:

Dabangg 3 is out an out show of Salman Khan. There is barely a scene that doesn't have him. The star hero carries the film entirely on his shoulders throughout. He is mischievous in the role of Chulbul and we all love that. He totally killed it in the action sequences as well. Sonakshi Sinha played her part well as Chubul's wife Rajjo. But she didn't have a long runtime. Debutant Saiee Manjrekar looked pretty as Chulbul's first love Khushi. She has delivered a promising performance and has a bright future in Bollywood. Sudeep is menacing as the antagonist in the movie. His action scenes with Salman will give a definite high to the fans.

Technical Aspects

Director Prabhu Deva is best known for making action films in Bollywood. He has this strong south Indian flavor in his movies and that is quite visible in this film too. But Salman overshadows everything and manages the film. The production values of the film are top-notch. Music by Sajid-Wajid is good and there are a couple of songs which will rule the charts for a long time. Mahesh Limaye's cinematography is brilliant and the visuals look amazing on the big screen. The VFX could have been better though.

Review:

Dabangg 3 is basically a prequel for the first part of Dabangg. It features the backstory of Chulbul Pandey and his first love story. Salman's impeccable comic timing and the action sequences keep the flawed story aside and the audience gets entertained throughout. It has all the elements we expect from a Dabangg film. It will definitely satisfy the fans and the lovers of this commercial action genre. The fans are expecting a perfect potboiler from Salman Khan for a long time and the actor has delivered it for this Christmas week. Keep your logic aside and you will enjoy the film for sure.

Plus:

1. Salman Khan

2. Sudeep

3. Comedy Scenes

4. Action Sequences

Minus:

1. Old storyline

2. Dragged in parts

Final Verdict:

Bhai ended the year with a bang!
