Satya Dev, who impressed us with his recent performance as an antagonist in Godfather, is now back as a lead hero. His new film Gurthunda Seethakalam got released today. Tamannaah and Megha Aakash played the female leads in it. Here is our review of it.

Story:
The story revolves around the life of a middle-aged man (Satya Dev). He once rescues a woman and then shares his breakup stories with her. His heartbreaks, his love lives and how he managed to find his true love forms the main crux of the movie.

Performances:
Satya Dev delivers an impeccable performance once again in the lead role. He pulled off the character's journey through various ages quite effortlessly. This is one of his special films for sure.

Tamannaah also steals the show with her performance. Her star value added more depth to that role. Megha Aakash looks cute and did her job well. Priyadarshi also gave an honest performance. Rest all did their parts well.

Technical Departments:
Gurthunda Seethakalam is an official remake of the Kannada film Love Mocktail. Writing-wise, the film stayed true to the original in most of the parts and all the scenes were conveyed as per the sensibilities of Telugu audiences.

The music is one of the major strengths of this movie. Though the songs were okay, the background score lifts the film very well. The cinematography looks rich and brings colour to the story. The production values are decent. The editing was okay. It could have been better in the first half.

Analysis:
Director Nagasekhar has done a good job in remaking the film. The scenes are engaging and the younger generation of the audience can easily relate to them. The chemistry between Satya Dev and Tamannaah is also refreshing. The cinematography and music bring a pleasant feel to the movie.

The narration is quite slow and that can be one of the drawbacks of the film. The first half is slow and takes time to get into things. The second half is better and the emotional sequences will definitely appeal to the viewers.

On the whole, Gurthunda Seethakalam is a pleasant love story with a lot of feel to it. We haven't seen such genuine romantic films for a long time. People who love watching such kinds of films can definitely give a shot at this movie.

Plus Points:
Lead Actors' performances and chemistry
Music
Second Half

Minus Points:

Final Verdict: Feel Good Seethakalam
