Keerthy Suresh who released her 'Penguin' movie on the digital platforms released yet another movie 'Miss India' on the OTT platforms. Directed by Narendra Nadh, Keerthy Suresh starrer 'Miss India' movie finally got released on Netflix today. The expectations are high on this movie as the film is going to mark the 20th movie in Keerthy's career. The teaser and trailer have increased the expectations on the movie. Let's see how far the film has succeeded in reaching the expectations.
Story:
Manasa Samyuktha (Keerthy Suresh) is a middle-class girl who aspires to become a businesswoman because of the inspiration of her grandfather (Rajendra Prasad). But because of some financial troubles, she joins a job. But one day, she leaves the house and starts her own Chai business with the brand name 'Miss India'. Can her Indian Chai succeed in a coffee dominated land like the USA? How Kailash (Jagapathi Babu) created troubles for her career forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Keerthy Suresh is undoubtedly one of the major driving factors behind the movie. The entire movie revolves around her and she has delivered her best performance in the movie.
After Keerthy Suresh, Jagapathi Babu also got a meaty role in this movie and the actor has delivered a decent performance. Rajendra Prasad appeared only in the first few scenes but did an impact with his performance. Naresh, Nadiya, Kamal Kamaraju, and Naveen Chandra also got interesting roles in the film and they have delivered their best. Poojitha Ponnada, Divya, etc also acted well. The rest of the actors also made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects:
Director Narendra Nath has utterly failed to impress the audience with his slow-paced narration. Despite starting the story in a good way, the director failed to engage the audience.
Apart from the first 10 minutes, the entire first half is extremely slow and will test the patience of the audience. Production values by Mahesh S Koneru under East Coast production banners are high. Music by SS Thaman is good. The background music also saved the film at times. Cinematography by Dani Sanchez-Lopez and Sujith Vaassudev is too good and the visuals came out really well. Editing by Thammiraju is just average.
Analysis:
The movie opened with Keerthy Suresh as one of the most successful businesswomen in the world and the entire movie is showcased like a flashback. The first 10 minutes of the film is good. After that, the film became extremely boring and especially the first half is very slow and most of the audience will lose their interest.
There is nothing much to rave about the story of the film except for the last few minutes and the entire movie runs with the same flow without any major twists in the plotline. On the whole, 'Miss India' is just a one time watch.
Plus Points:
Performances
Camera work
Music & BGM
Minus Points:
Story
Slow Narration
Final Verdict: Miss India offers boredom!
